I recently did an impromptu mini session with two beautiful Siamese cats, the charming Chiquita ( a chocolate point Siamese ) and her darling Pepito (a lilac point).
Poor little Pepito has a chronic allergy problem and although he was sweet enough to pose for me for some shots he was clearly taking some strain that day, sneezing, eyes watering, he could hardly keep his eyes open, poor boy! I spent most of the short session photographing Chiquita as I didn’t want to tax him too much, perhaps one day when he is in better form we can try another session and get some lovely images of him too.
Generally, cats don’t like a camera, the beeping and clicking noises are disconcerting and I think they feel the lens is like a huge eye looking at them but Chiquita was such a sweetie, patient and calm, not really fazed at all.
I love this shot of her just about to grab the toy we had dangling above, her little fangs poking out between her lips are adorably cute.
A last image of the lovely lady looking regal and elegant with her brilliant sapphire blue eyes.

You can’t see Pepitos eyes too well because he had them half closed due to his allergies but they are nowhere near as blue as Chiquitas, her eyes are just stunning!

Thanks Pat, it’s a piece of fabric that I draped over the back of a chair as a backdrop, I thought it would highlight Chiquitas eyes.

Shame Mands, he really suffers with the allergies and he is such a sweet cuddle bunny. Siamese cats always look so aloof and scary but these two are such loving and friendly cats, they both try to fit on my lap at the same time! 🙂
