THESE LITTLE DOGGIES WENT TO MARKET…

It’s been a while since I’ve written a post, so this week I’m treating you to a BUMPER issue with images of dogs up the wazoo!

The Wild Oats Farmers Market in Sedgefield is among “The Top 10 markets in the world”, right next door is the Mosaic Flea Market and the Scarab Village Arts and Crafts Market.  Every Saturday morning there are goods of every description for sale; organic produce, delicious treats, arts and crafts, fresh flowers and second-hand books to mention a few and of course no market would be complete without the ubiquitous busker or two.   It is a colourful scene with a cosmopolitan feel, dogs are always welcome and the vibe is festive and fun.

Last Saturday we woke to a beautiful Spring morning, so Mr T and I set off for the market with our good friends Barry and Char.  For photographers, all images taken with a Canon 85mm f/1.8 lens on an aperture of f/2.8.

Golden retriever puppies are the cutest, this little guy reminds me of Paddy when he was a youngster.

Ho hum, so many smells to smell, places to go, sights to see, if only they would hurry up!

Boerboel, spca rescue dog

This beautiful Boerboel is Sugar, a timid rescue pup who had a bad start in life but luckily has found a loving and forever home with her human, Nigel.

Don’t they make a fabulous pair?

Maltese poodles, Scarab market, Wild Oats Market

Oh my gosh, these two Maltese poodles were so bouncy and busy, VERY excited about being at the market!

Maltese Poodles and great Dane

And VERY nervous excited about meeting Sirius, the Great Dane.  Luckily Sirius had already shared his human’s breakfast so wasn’t peckish in the least.

Rocco Pit Bull

I found Rocco the pit bull, languishing at the back of his Dad’s stall, nodding off to sleep.

But he was kind enough to flash me a big smile before I left.

Scarab Market

We stopped for a bite at “Die Windpomp Diner”.

This young boxer was extremely interested in the human and her black box.

Some market dogs arrive in style…

As I said, Spring is in the air and there are love birds everywhere. Barry & Char smooching it up at the diner.

Twinkie, staffie

What a gracious old lady Twinkie is, a pancake loving staffie with a big heart.

A well-socialized and well-trained pit bull is one of the most delightful, intelligent, and gentle dogs imaginable.”

My favourite image of the day, is this one of Rocco the pit bull and his human.

Pit bulls get a bad rap but according to the ASPCA

A well-socialized and well-trained pit bull is one of the most delightful, intelligent, and gentle dogs imaginable.”

All my love
